COURSE DESCRIPTION
This foundational course explores in detail the fundamental foundations of Christian belief. Orthodox Christian truths will be taught in detail and are prerequisite for a dynamic Christian life.
I. Rationale
In our day of “wind of doctrine”, foundational doctrinal principles must be learned and understood.
II. Prerequisite
The Bible – How to study the Word.
III. Program Objectives and Related Specific Objectives
A. Cognitive

To inspire the students to desire a deeper relationship with Jesus.

To shed light on the total commitment that God requires of the Christian.

To help the students recognize the difference between truth and error.

To dispel much of the ignorance about God, His Word and will for each Christian.
B. Performance

To be able to develop teaching and preaching notes on the doctrines of God.

To be able to teach students the differences between truth and error.

To be able to instruct others on the relationship between the will of God and the Word of God.
IV. Pre-assessment
The student must write a brief paper on course goals.
V. Instructional/Learning Activities

The textbook(s) must be read in its entirety.

The student study guide completed.

Write a 5–7 page paper on topic assigned by the instructor.

The student will write detailed teaching notes for each chapter of the textbook.

The student will take the final exam.

Reread the self-evaluation and comments by the instructor.

- Dynamic Christian Foundations is a Year 1 foundational course that establishes believers in the core truths of the Christian faith. In a time of many “winds of doctrine,” this course builds spiritual stability by teaching orthodox Christian beliefs clearly and thoroughly. Students will grow in their relationship with Jesus, learn what true commitment to God looks like, and gain discernment to distinguish truth from error. The course is designed to produce a strong doctrinal foundation that supports a dynamic Christian life and effective ministry.
