COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Paul stated that whenever possible we are to live our lives at peace, especially within the household of faith. In our day, we need to learn the pattern for gracious living.
I. RATIONALE:
More than understanding doctrine, we as Christians must have our character conformed to the cross of Christ. This course provides steps toward a balanced Christian walk.

III. PROGRAM OBJECTIVES AND RELATED SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:
A. Cognitive:

The student will learn and understand the Biblical doctrine of submission and its importance to Christian living.

The student will learn and understand love from a Biblical perspective and will be able to analyze himself and others by this standard.

The student will increase his/her awareness of the need for gracious living and develop strategies for growth in this vital area of life.
B. Performance:

The student will be able to develop teaching notes and outlines on the subject matter presented in the text.

The student will be able to communicate these truths from a biblical perspective to others effectively.
IV. PREASSESSMENT:
A. The student must write a brief paper on course goals.
V. INSTRUCTIONAL/LEARNING ACTIVITIES:

The student will read the text in its entirety.

The student will complete the student study guide.

The student will write detailed teaching notes on each chapter of the textbook.

The student will write a 5–7 page term paper on the subject matter of the course.

The student will complete the take-home exam.
