II. PREREQUISITES:
Dynamic Christian Foundations – RS 101

III. PROGRAM OBJECTIVES AND RELATED SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:
A. Cognitive:

  1. To understand the teaching of the Word of God concerning the Holy Spirit and to cultivate respect and reverence for the Holy Spirit as revealed in Scripture, through reading, lectures, and assignments.

  2. To understand more fully the relevance of the Holy Spirit to contemporary life.

B. Performance:

  1. To be able to discuss problems of theology and practice in an atmosphere of faith and candor, as related to dispensational teaching and the modern charismatic movement.

  2. To be able to develop teaching or preaching outlines on the person and work of the Holy Spirit in the context of Scripture and in relation to His work in the church.

IV. PREASSESSMENT:
A. The student must write a brief paper on course goals.

V. INSTRUCTIONAL/LEARNING ACTIVITIES:

  1. The textbook(s) must be read in its entirety, and the student study guide must be completed.

  2. Listen to lecture tapes.

  3. Complete the open-book exam.

  4. The student should conduct collateral reading at the library.

VI. SELF-EVALUATION:
A. Reread the self-evaluation and comments by the instructor.

VII. POST ASSESSMENT:
A. The student will reread their brief paper on course goals and relate them to the actual content of the course.
B. The student will complete the course instructor evaluation.

VIII. CORRECTIVE LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES:
A. The student and the mentor will correspond during the course to clarify or resolve any problems.
