COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The ability to adequately and accurately account for and manage financial resources is an essential skill needed for Christian ministers and church administrators. Financial integrity and stewardship issues are explored in detail.
I. RATIONALE:
Scripture has much to say about the proper handling of financial resources in the Kingdom of God.
II. PREREQUISITES:
None
III. PROGRAM OBJECTIVES AND RELATED SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:
A. Cognitive:

To understand the principles of financial integrity and stewardship from a Biblical perspective.

To learn basic accounting principles and stewardship procedures.

To develop an attitude of excellence in the proper handling of finances.
B. Performance:
-
The student will be able to systematically articulate principles of Christian excellence in the handling of finances.

The student will be able to teach on those principles of finance.
-
The student will be able to practice those principles of finance in their own life and ministry.
IV. PREASSESSMENT:
A. The student will write a brief paper on course goals.
V. INSTRUCTIONAL/LEARNING ACTIVITIES:

The student will read the text in its entirety.

The student will complete the student study guide.

The student will develop detailed teaching notes for each chapter of the textbook. These notes should expand on the textbook and not simply rewrite it. Prepare notes as if you were about to teach this course to others.

The student will write a 5–7 page paper on a topic relating to the course.

The student will take a final exam.
VI. SELF-EVALUATION:
A. The student will reread their paper on course goals.

A. The student will complete a course instructor evaluation.
