COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Living a life of victory, power, and sufficiency requires faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. This course discusses in detail the dynamics of faith and their relationship to the believer.
I. RATIONALE:
The dynamics of faith in action can be difficult to comprehend. The student of the Word of God needs to have a clear understanding of how faith works and its biblical foundation.
II. PREREQUISITES:
Dynamic Christian Foundations – RS 101
III. PROGRAM OBJECTIVES AND RELATED SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:
A. Cognitive:
-
To enable the student to identify the fundamental elements of the subject of faith as expressed in the Bible, through the reading of the text and other research.

To understand the proper place of faith, and especially faithfulness, as a part of the Christian life, including the relationship of faith and healing as seen in the Word of God.

To ensure that a clear theological position regarding faith and the “faith message” is established.
B. Performance:

To be able to counter extreme doctrinal stances on hyper-faith, etc.

To be able to develop teaching and preaching outlines on the subject of faith and faith dynamics using a sound biblical basis.

To be able to correct, from a biblical perspective, extreme false doctrines about faith.
IV. PREASSESSMENT:
A. The student must write a brief paper on course goals.
V. INSTRUCTIONAL/LEARNING ACTIVITIES:

The textbook(s) must be read in its entirety and the student study guide completed.

The student will write a 5–7 page term paper on the subject matter of the text.

There will be an open-book exam.

The student will listen to the audio tapes/lecture and should go to the library and do collateral reading.
VI. SELF-EVALUATION:
A. Reread the self-evaluation and comments by the instructor.
VII. POST ASSESSMENT:
A. The student will reread their brief paper on course goals.
B. The student will complete a course instructor evaluation.
VIII. CORRECTIVE LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES:
A. The student is expected to keep in frequent contact with the mentor.
