PREREQUISITES: N/A
INSTRUCTIONAL LEARNING ACTIVITIES:
-
Once a week for the next month, students must reach out to one unsaved neighbor or friend with the goal of living and sharing Jesus to them. Results of each meeting must be written on an 8 X 10 sheet of paper. Information should include the person’s name, the date of the meeting, a description of what you are doing to build a relational bridge with the individual, and a brief summary of the time together.
-
The text must be read in its entirety. The Study Guide must be completed.
-
Each student must satisfactorily complete the final examination.
-
Each student must design a Gospel tract, using his or her own personal testimony. This will be evaluated on creativity and the inclusion of the following points: what I was like before Jesus, how I came to Jesus (the Gospel Message), and the difference that Christ has made in my life.

Benefits of the course
- 1. Your True Identity and Purpose
- You will learn that you are not just a member of an organization, but a vital part of a living "organism" (the Body of Christ). The course emphasizes "who you are" over "what you do," helping you find your identity in Christ so you can fulfill your Kingdom purpose.
- 2. The Difference Between Program and Lifestyle
- You will understand the distinction between "programmed evangelism" (rigid techniques and high-pressure sales tactics) and "Lifestyle Evangelism" (naturally living out your faith in daily life).
- 3. How to Overcome Fear
- You will discover that fear is the greatest hindrance to witnessing. The course teaches you how to move from a "spirit of fear" to walking in God's power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
- 4. The Core Message of the Gospel
- You will learn to clearly communicate the true Gospel message (the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ) rather than relying on shallow, "packaged" presentations. You will understand the importance of calling people to repentance, confession, and Lordship, not just a quick decision.
- 5. How to Use Natural Relationships
- You will learn to identify and utilize the five "Natural Relational Bridges" God has already placed in your life: your Family, Neighborhood, Workplace, School, and Recreation. The course teaches that your mission field is right where you live.
- 6. Practical "How-To" Skills
- You will gain practical tools, such as:
- How to build relational bridges with neighbors and coworkers.
- How to share your personal testimony effectively.
- How to use small groups for outreach and support (like the "Four Stretcher-Bearers").
- How to disciple new believers and help them grow from "Little Children" to "Young Men" and "Fathers" in the faith.
- 7. The Importance of Character
- You will learn that your life is the only "Bible" some people will read. The course emphasizes being transparent, sincere, and "without wax" so that your actions match your words.
