III. Program Objectives and Related Specific Objectives:

  1. Cognitive:
  2. To understand and know the geographical and historical situations of the time of each book.
  3. To gain insight into how the Books of Genesis and Exodus relate to the New Testament.
  4. Performance:
  5. The student will be able to teach others what they have learned.
  6. The student will be able to relate the Books of Genesis and Exodus to present day times and situations.
  7. The student will better understand the New Testament as they gain an understanding of Genesis and Exodus.
  8. Preassessment:
  9. The student will write a brief paper of the course goals.
  10. Instructional/Learning Activities:
  11. The student will read the text in its entirety.
    B. The student will fill in the answers for all questions contained within each lesson.
    C. The student will answer all the discussion questions found at the end of each lesson. (Answers must be a minimum of one paragraph and maximum of one half page.)
    D. The student will write detailed teaching notes for each lesson. These notes should expand or expound upon the material in the text (example: if you think of another cross-reference, teaching, or illustration that goes with the lesson put that in your notes). These notes are to help you teach this course to others.
    E. The student will write a 5-7 page paper on a theme of their choice from Genesis or Exodus.
    F. All work must be typed and received by the instructor in a timely manner.
